Background:

There are lots of different opinions and beliefs about vaping. Some say it’s as bad as smoking, others say it helps with quitting smoking. It’s actually somewhere in the middle: vaping is not for non-smokers, but it has the potential to help smokers quit.

Background: 

Over 4,000 people are diagnosed with Melanoma every year in New Zealand. We have the highest incidence rate in the world and over 250 kiwis die of Melanoma every year. However, if melanoma is recognised and treated early enough it is almost always curable.

Background:

170,000 New Zealanders are living with heart disease, with 1 in 3 deaths caused by cardiovascular disease.

The Heart Foundation ran a campaign to encourage people to learn how to check their pulse. 

An irregular pulse – or arrhythmia – can be a sign of a heart condition, the most common being atrial fibrillation. If you have atrial fibrillation, you have an increased chance of having a stroke. Your doctor can help you manage your condition and there are medications you can take that can help reduce the risk of stroke
